A simple way to begin using Key Zones.

Follow this guided path once from top to bottom. It connects the Daily Market Map, price-response concepts, real historical examples, and risk into one repeatable observation process.

CORE PRINCIPLEKnow the area. Read the response. Make your decision.

KeyLevel IQ identifies market reference areas. It does not provide an automatic trade signal or tell you what price must do.

Use this as an orientation, not a trading system. The examples and lessons help organize observation. Your own strategy, confirmation process, and risk-management decisions remain separate.
READ THE MAP

Know what is published before price gets there.

Start with the Daily Market Map. Confirm the symbol, trading session, current map, and the nearby published Key Zones or reference areas.

  • Confirm the symbol and trading session.
  • Identify the current published map.
  • Locate the nearest upper and lower published areas.
  • Treat every area as a reference—not a prediction.

KNOW THE ZONE

Understand the area without turning it into a signal.

A Key Zone tells you where to pay attention. It does not tell you that price must stop, reverse, break, or continue.

  • Know the area before price reaches it.
  • Do not assume support or resistance must hold.
  • Let price behavior provide the next information.
  • Avoid deciding the trade simply because the zone exists.

READ THE RESPONSE

Approach. Observe. Then make your own decision.

As price interacts with a published area, describe what is actually happening. Rejection, acceptance, retests, continuation, hesitation, and no clear response can all provide different context.

  • Approach: know which published area is being tested.
  • Observe: watch the market response instead of predicting it.
  • Update: change the interpretation if price behavior changes.
  • Decide: use your own setup, confirmation, and risk rules.

SEE A COMPLETED SESSION

Compare the concepts with real historical price action.

Historical examples let you review completed NQ sessions with hindsight. Use them to practice describing price behavior around previously published Key Zones.

  • Start with the full session before focusing on one interaction.
  • Notice when price reacts and when it trades through an area.
  • Watch how the interpretation changes after retests or failed reactions.
  • Remember that a historical outcome does not predict the next session.

RISK FIRST

Keep the market reference separate from your risk decision.

KeyLevel IQ does not determine position size, maximum loss, leverage, entries, exits, or how much risk is appropriate. Those decisions belong to your own trading plan.

  • Define what would invalidate your trade idea.
  • Know your acceptable loss before acting.
  • Use your own position-sizing and confirmation process.
  • Doing nothing is a valid decision when conditions are unclear.

PUT IT TOGETHER

Return to the current map with a repeatable process.

The goal is not to memorize a pattern. The goal is to build a consistent observation process you can repeat when price approaches a published Key Zone.

  • Read the current map.
  • Know the nearby area.
  • Observe what price actually does.
  • Update your interpretation and follow your own risk plan.

QUICK CHECK BEFORE YOU ACT

Five questions to keep beside the map.

  1. Which published area is price approaching or interacting with?
  2. What is price actually doing at or around that area?
  3. Has the response strengthened, weakened, or changed?
  4. Does the situation meet my own setup and confirmation rules?
  5. Is the risk acceptable under my own plan?
